Friday- Math review and study for exam one!

Saturday- Hang out with some special people. I have no clue what we are going to do this weekend. That’s still up in the air. Also, drive out to the children’s hospital in preparation for Sunday.

Sunday- Go to clinical and get through orientation. Take math exam. Come home and study.

Four more weeks of pediatric nursing…

First week!

So, my first week of school is uneventful. I’m just studying and taking notes. Tomorrow I am going to a math review. I understand the math, but why not go and get a refresher. I take the Pediatric math exam this Sunday. I also do orientation at a local pediatric hospital. But clinicals don’t start until about June 4th.

But as far as right now. I’m just enjoying my favorite television shows and hanging out with my younger cousin.

As far as you saying “people in the family saying I’m trouble”. Yeah sure. I don’t talk to anyone in the family like that. For anyone to say that to you. Like some folks have said (leaving their name out). You and your mother are liars.

PEDIATRIC NURSING…AGAIN

So I got this weeks assignments done. I also took a quiz, which, I got an 80 on it. Hoping this type of situation will continue. I’m still reading and taking notes, but I will be meeting with the Student Success Coordinator on Wednesday- a day before exams this program).

I’m so happy I know how people really feel about me. They all can kiss it. I don’t need you in my life. Especially now, since you have become more difficult to deal with. No one EVER brings up my “mental” illness in a argument and EXPECT me to accept an apology from you. I’m not the one. I don’t need you. You need me. You don’t have any friends. NERVOUS

Pediatric Nursing begins in THREE DAYS!!! I’m so nervous I feel sick in the stomach. My goal for my upper division courses to make a 3.0 gpa. So pray for me I can get a good grade (I need an A) so I will have more opportunities find a job. I’m officially organized: planner, binder, notebook, a memo book, and pens for clinicals.

I have started my week one reading. I hope to have those done by Monday. Then at that point I will move onto week two readings. I’m still going to do questions with the Student Success Coordinator. She is so nice. We plan to work with each other for the remainder of nursing school classes.

I bought a book to help me with the classes. It’s all questions and rationales it is called Pediatric Success. I am also going to use my friends book of questions-it’s different than Pediatric Success.

Since I have a lot of documentation: vital signs, have patients sign discharge papers, and to hold the patients kardex(keep kardex handy).

So I’m set and I feel like I can do this (sometimes)… I PRAY I DO….

So if you pray…PLEASE PRAY FOR ME!! I need all the help I can get.

I’m going to keep this short and sweet.

Met a guy at the club. He was very nice and held my hand. He even opened my door.

We have been talking everyday since last Saturday…

He asked me out on a date just a few minutes ago.

I’m ready for Friday gets here soon..

STRESSED OUT!! (Six more days of freedom)

I am just sitting here; thinking of how to increase my gpa. I only have 6 more classes to do that. I must make an A this summer in pediatric nursing and then make a minimum B in the class. Right now I’m going through the reading through the reading list that they actually sent to my Cohort 3 class. My goal is to graduate with a 3.0 gpa so I can have a edge up on my competition.

I still must organize my notes while I read. I first read the chapter or pages first and highlight them. Then I type them into a word document. Just fyi, I summarize the information in the book. this time I have the yellow NCLEX-RN practice book. So I will be doing that religiously.

In nursing school, you must keep up with your skills. In Cohort 2, we used the computer to enter in the information and then the instructor will confirm it. But, since I’m not in in Cohort 2 I must use the paper form. So I must transfer all the skills I have done into this tiny document and print out the skills and attach it to the paper form.

Saturday Night May 7th, 2011

So my childhood friend never been to a night club. So I took her to lower greenville (my fav). There she met a guy that really liked her. He is really nice. We had a great conversation with him upstairs, where there is no music. I also met someone new. I was hoping he would call me. Well, he did last night. He went to the Maverick’s game. We talked for a little bit and this morning I sent him a text message. I won’t go into detail, because it’s private. Who knows what can happen?

On another note: I have seven days until I start my classes, but until then relaxation will be on my to do list.
